"Wireless Weekly" was
founded in
April of 1923 by John
Scott-Taggart, OBE, and his
Radio Press, Ltd. It covered
technology news, receiver
designs, station lists and
listening tips.
"Wireless Magazine" was
founded independently by
Bernard Jones in 1924. It is
believed the first issue
appeared in February
The Titles overlapped for
the last 6 months of 1926 as
there was a "Wireless
incorporating Wireless
Weekly" published every 7
days and "Wireless Magazine"
published monthly.
In March of 1935 the title
of the surviving magazine
was changed to "Wireless
Magazine & Modern
Television".
Because of the confusion of
titles, we list both
magazines on one page, but
each title is displayed in
separate sections |
